‘WITCHES’ WINS BEST FEATURE DOC AT THE BIFAS!

This year’s BIFA Awards celebrated exceptional talent in British independent cinema, with notable wins across the board.

Best Feature Documentary went to WITCHES, directed by Elizabeth Sankey featuring Cinematography by echo’s Chloë Thomson, BSC.

Rungano Nyoni won Best Director and Susan Chardy earned Breakthrough Performance for ON BECOMING A GUINEA FOWL, which features Cinematography by echo’s David Gallego, ADFC and Production Design by echo’s Malin Lindholm.

Best Lead Performance went to Marianne Jean-Baptiste in HARD TRUTHS which features work from echo’s Hair + Make Up Designer Nora Robertson while Franz Rogowski took home Best Supporting Performance in BIRD, which features work from echo’s Costume Designer Alex Bovaird.

Christopher Andrews won the Douglas Hickox Award for Best Debut Director for BRING THEM DOWN, working alongside echo's Cinematographer Nick Cooke and Production Designer Fletcher Jarvis.

'ON BECOMING A GUINEA FOWL' OUT IN UK CINEMAS TODAY!

Produced by Element Pictures with backing from BBC Film, A24 and Fremantle, ON BECOMING A GUINEA FOWL will be premiering in UK cinemas today!

Winner of the Un Certain Regard ‘Best Director’ at this year’s Cannes, the film is directed by Rungano Nyoni as her second feature.

The comedy-drama filmed in Zambia features echo client work with Cinematography by David Gallego ADFC and Production Design by Malin Lindholm.

The 68th BFI London Film Festival wrapped up last night, announcing this year's competition winners!

The Sutherland Award for the Best First Feature went to Laura Carreira's ON FALLING, which includes the creative work of echo’s Production Designer Andy Drummond and Hair + Make-Up Designer Kat Morgan.

In the Main Competition, a special jury mention was awarded to the Zambian family drama ON BECOMING A GUINEA FOWL by Rungano Nyoni. The film features Cinematography by Echo's David Gallego ADFC and Production Design by Malin Lindholm

The LFF Audience Awards will be revealed later this month, honouring three categories: Best Narrative Feature, Best Documentary Feature, and Best Short Film.
