BFI LONDON FILM FESTIVAL 2024 ANNOUNCES NOMINEES FOR BEST FILM AWARD!

The BFI has unveiled the Official Competition lineup for this year's London Film Festival, showcasing a diverse selection of films vying for the 2024 Best Film Award.

Among the contenders is Bring Them Down, directed by Christopher Andrews, with cinematography by Nick Cooke and production design by Fletcher Jarvis. Also in the competition is The Extraordinary Miss Flower, helmed by directors Jane Pollard and Ian Forsyth, featuring costumes by Susie Coulthard.

A festival favourite, On Becoming a Guinea Fowl, directed by Rungano Nyoni, is also in the running, with cinematography by David Gallego (ADFC) and production design by Malin Lindholm.

Created by BAFTA winning Charlie Covell with the directing forces of both Georgi Banks-Davies and Runyararo Mapfumo, the dark-comedy gives Greek mythology a fantastical contemporary spin.
