ECHO'S LISA PARKINSON NOMINATED FOR BAFTAS HAIR AND MAKE UP DESIGN!

The BAFTA Television and Craft nominations have arrived!

We’re proud to see echo’s Lisa Parkinson nominated for Hair and Make Up Design for her work on THE LONG SHADOW (pictured).

THE LONG SHADOW is also up for Best Limited drama Series with editing by Sacha Szwarc.

Other echo artists work featured in the nominations list include THE GOLD (with Cinematography by Stuart Bentley BSC, editing by Mark Keady) and TOP BOY (featuring work by Production Designer Alexandra Toomey; Costume Designer Natalie Humphries; DoP Federico Cesca, Editor Matteo Bini) for Best Drama Series.

LOCKERBIE is nominated for Best Factual Series shot by Will Pugh and THE ENFIELD POLTERGEIST shot by Ruben Woodin Dechamps for Specialist Factual Series.

THE LAST OF US is a contender for Best International Series with Ali Abassi’s eps shot by echo’s DoP, Nadim Carlsen DFF and EXTRAORDINARY is up for a few nominations including Best Scripted Comedy with Costume Design by Buki Ebiesuwa and episodes 1-4 lensed by DoP Carlos Catalan!

Winners of the BAFTA TV Craft Awards will be announced on the 28th of April. The BAFTA TV Awards will be held on May 12th!

'SPACEMAN' WORLD PREMIERE AT BERLINALE!

SPACEMAN will be premiering at the Berlin Film Festival today!

Directed by Johan Renck, the film centres around Jakub Procházka (Adam Sandler), an orphan who was raised in the Czech countryside by his grandparents. The sci-fi drama unfolds as Jakub overcomes his odds to become the country's first astronaut whilst being guided by a voice from the beginning of time.

Glasgow Film Festival will commence next week on the 28th Feb and this year already has a jam-packed lineup!

EDGE OF SUMMER will have its world premiere at the festival, shot by Rachel Clark and Costume Design by Oliver Cronk. FALLING INTO PLACE with Production Design by Andy Drummond, and A HOUSE IN JERUSALEM featuring Hair and Make Up Design by Kat Morgan will launch their UK premieres.

It will also be the Scottish premiere for HOARD, with Production Design by Bobbie Cousins.

Juho Kuosmanen and Hong Khaou’s Alice & Jack will be airing on Channel 4 today at 9pm!

Delve into the 16 year love story of Jack (Domhnall Gleeson) and Alice (Andrea Riseborough) after a chance encounter one night. They part ways, but a deep attraction keeps bringing them back together time and time again spanning across a decade and a half.

'MY MERCURY' OUT NOW!

We’re looking forward to the UK release of A24’s MY MERCURY! The documentary touches on conservationist Yves Chesselet relocating to the remote Mercury Island and living a life of solitude in a mission to save the endangered seabirds of the South Atlantic.

Co-edited and co-written by echo’s Jinx Godfrey ACE, the compelling story is told through Yves' private video diaries and contemporary footage all shot on the island.
