'ANTIHEROINE' PREMIERES AT SUNDANCE!

'ANTIHEROINE' premieres today at this year’s Sundance Film Festival in the Documentary section.

Directed by Edward Lovelace and James Hall, the Courtney Love Documentary features Editing by echo’s Jinx Godfrey, ACE.

The story centres on Courtney Love as she reflects on her life, career and creative rebirth.

‘THE HISTORY OF SOUND’ IS NOW IN UK CINEMAS!

After its premiere at the London Film Festival in October, ‘THE HISTORY OF SOUND’ is now in UK cinemas. Echo client Paix Robinson, BFDG worked as a Costume Supervisor (UK) on the film, which is directed by Oliver Hermanus.

Starring Paul Mescal and Josh O’Connor, the film explores a hidden love shaped through music and memory, and how shared moments carry through time.

HUGE CONGRATULATIONS TO ECHO CLIENTS BEHIND ACADEMY AWARD–NOMINATED PROJECTS!

We’re thrilled to share that projects featuring echo clients have received Academy Award nominations this year.

With Cinematography by echo’s Shane F. Kelly, ‘BLUE MOON’ has been nominated for 'Best Original Screenplay' and 'Best Actor' (Ethan Hawke). Directed by Richard Linklater, the film offers a witty and heartfelt portrait of lyricist Lorenz Hart, who reflects on his past partnership with Richard Rodgers and the changing world of musical theatre.

‘PERFECTLY A STRANGENESS’ is nominated for ‘Best Documentary Short’, with echo’s Nicolas Canniccioni as Director of Photography. Directed by Alison McAlpine, the short premiered at Cannes and follows three donkeys as they journey across a vast and grand desert, exploring movement, discovery and quiet wonder.

The 98th Oscar’s will take place on Sunday 15th March in Hollywood at the Dolby Theatre.

SUNDANCE CONTINUES WITH MORE WORLD PREMIERES FEATURING ECHO CLIENTS WORK!

We’re delighted to continue celebrating projects featuring echo clients premiering at Sundance today and tomorrow!

Molly Manners’s debut, ‘EXTRA GEOGRAPHY’, with Cinematography by echo’s Andrew Commis, ACS, will make its World Premiere in the ‘World Cinema Dramatic Competition’ today. The film is written by Miriam Battye and produced by Sarah Brocklehurst with Brock Media.

Directed by Aidan Zamiri and starring Charli XCX, ‘THE MOMENT’ features Cinematography by echo’s Sean Price Williams and Hair + Make-Up Design by echo’s Loz Schiavo. The mockumentary will premiere in the ‘Fiction’ category.

‘ONE IN A MILLION’ features echo’s Will Pugh as Director of Photography, and is directed by Itab Azzam + Jack MacInnes. Produced by KEO Films and FRONTLINE, a BBC Storyville co-production, the film will screen in the World Cinema Documentary category.

On January 24th, ‘THE GALLERIST’ will make its World Premiere in the 'Fiction’ category, with echo’s Federico Cesca, ADF, ASK as Director of Photography. Directed and co-written by Cathy Yan, the film stars Jenna Ortega and Natalie Portman.

The winners of Sundance Film Festival will be announced on Friday 30th January.

'HEAVYWEIGHT' EDITED BY EVE DOHERTY, OUT IN UK CINEMAS!

Proud to see ‘HEAVYWEIGHT’ with editing by echo’s Eve Doherty, now playing in UK cinemas! Directed by Christopher M. Anthony and produced by Blackwater Pictures and Silver Milk Productions, the film explores the mental state of a heavyweight fighter and his cornermen backstage as fight time approaches

The boxing drama made its world premiere at the Raindance Film Festival in London and stars Nicholas Pinnock, Jason Issac, Jordan Bolger and Sienna Guillory.

SUNDANCE OPENS TODAY WITH WORLD PREMIERES OF THE INCOMER AND THE LAST FIRST: WINTER K2!

We’re thrilled to announce that projects featuring echo clients are premiering at Sundance today.

Written and directed by Louis Paxton, ‘THE INCOMER’, with Costume Design by echo’s Sarah Blenkinsop, will make its World premiere in the festival’s ‘NEXT’ category. The film is produced by Shirley O’Connor and Emily Gotto and stars Domhnall Gleeson.

Directed by Amir Bar-Lev, 'THE LAST FIRST: WINTER K2' is a mountaineering documentary featuring cinematography by echo’s Will Pugh, and will make its World Premiere in the ‘Documentary’ category.

Sundance runs from January 22 to February 1 in Park City and Salt Lake City, Utah.

THE FIRST LOOK OF 'PRISONER' IS HERE!

A first look at 'PRISONER' has been unveiled, an action thriller produced by Binocular and Sky. The series features editing by echo’s Dan Roberts on episodes 4 + 6 and echo’s Jesse Parker on episode 5.

Written by the acclaimed Matt Charman and directed by BAFTA winner Otto Bathurst, the series stars Tahar Rahim and Izuka Hoyle.

'BLUE MOON' RECEIVES 5 IFTA NOMINATIONS!

Huge congratulations to the team behind ‘BLUE MOON’ which has received 5 IFTA nominations, including Best Film, with Cinematography by echo’s Shane F. Kelly.

We are thrilled to share that ‘THE MOMENT’ has been selected for the this year's Berlin International Film Festival, showcasing work by echo’s Director of Photography Sean Price Williams and Hair + Make-Up Designer Loz Schiavo!

Directed by Aidan Zamiri and Produced by Studio365 and 2AM film with distribution by A24, the film will screen as part of the Panorama Section.

Sparked from her own experiences, Charli XCX stars in the quirky and electric mockumentary film as a high-profile pop artist riding out the highs and lows of life on tour and meeting your wildest dreams.

The film festival opened on the 12th February and will be closing on the 22nd February.

INDUSTRY SEASON 4 EARNS 5 STAR REVIEW ON THE GUARDIAN!

Special shoutout to echo’s Editor Simon Smith, ACE and echo’s Director of Photography Federico Cesca, ADF, ASK, who both worked on Season 4 of 'INDUSTRY'.

Directed by Michelle Savill, Luke Snellin,  Mickey Down + Konrad Kay, and produced by HBO + Bad Wolf, this season is praised as the show’s best yet.

Hannah J Davies argues that, with major new cast members, timely financial storylines and a deeper psychological focus, the show becomes more twisted and stylish while taking on themes of power, money and morality.

She also suggests that, despite centring on the ultra-wealthy, the series feels more unsettling and relevant than before, positioning it as top-tier television.
