The 2023 BIFA nominations are here! This year’s Best British Independent Film nominees include:
- ALL OF US STRANGERS (pictured), with Costume Design by Sarah Blenkinsop, which is up for 14 awards
- FEMME, with Costume Design by Buki Ebiesuwa, with 11 nominations
- HOW TO HAVE SEX, lensed by DoP Nicolas Canniccioni, with work by Costume Designer George Buxton and Hair + Makeup Designer Natasha Lawes, which has 13 nominations
- SCRAPPER, with work by Production Designer Elena Muntoni, Hair + Makeup Designer Nora Robertson, Costume Designer Oliver Cronk and Editor Matteo Bini, with 14 nominations
Congratulations also go to THE END WE START FROM, with Production Design by Laura Ellis Cricks and cut by Arttu Salmi, which is up for 9 awards; IF THE STREETS WERE ON FIRE, lensed by echo DoP Ruben Woodin Dechamps, which has been nominated for 4 awards, and RAGING GRACE with Additional Editing by Sarah Brewerton, which is up for 2 awards!
2023 EMMY NOMINATIONS!
The 2023 Emmy nominations are here! A huge congratulations to Alex Bovaird who has been nominated for Outstanding Contemporary Costume for her amazing work on THE WHITE LOTUS Season 2, with the show also up for Outstanding Drama Series!
Also up for this award, is ANDOR, with editing by echo Editors Simon Smith ACE, Yan Miles ACE and Dan Roberts, and Hair + Makeup Design by Emma Scott, and THE LAST OF US, with Ali Abassi’s episodes shot by DoP Nadim Carlsen, DFF. Alongside these projects in the Outstanding Directing for a Drama Series category, is BAD SISTERS, with Cinematography by DoP Evelin van Rei NSC!

We are thrilled to see so many winning projects featuring echo client work, with Best Drama Series going to BAD SISTERS, with episodes shot by echo DoP Evelin van Rei NSC; MOOD (pictured), cut by Editors Alastair Reid and Eve Doherty, picking up Best Mini-Series, and Best Single Drama going to I AM RUTH, with Production Design by Noam Piper and lensed by DoP Rachel Clark, who was also nominated for her brilliant cinematography on this project!
Congratulations also to Best Director winners Felicity Morris for THE TINDER SWINDLER, shot by Edgar Dubrovskiy, and William Stefan Smith on TOP BOY, with his episodes edited by echo’s Matteo Bini!
