The 94th Oscar nominations have been announced! We are so excited to see that Riz Ahmed + Aneil Karia's THE LONG GOODBYE has been nominated for the Best Live Action Short Film! A huge congratulations to echo DOP Stuart Bentley, BSC and Costume Designer Holly Rebecca who both worked on the brilliant project. Bravo!
THE BAFTA 2022 NOMINATIONS ARE OUT!
The 2022 BAFTA Film nominations were announced today and a huge congratulations goes to echo Hair + Makeup designer Diandra Ferreira who's work featured in both, AFTER LOVE, which has been nominated for 4 BAFTA awards, and FEMME which is nominated for Best British Short! Congratulations also go to Best British Film-nominated EVERYBODY’S TALKING ABOUT JAMIE, which was cut by echo editor Mark Everson and features Costume Design by Guy Speranza!
THE LINEUP FOR SXSW 2022 HAS BEEN ANNOUNCED!
SXSW has revealed its 2022 lineup! The roster includes PIRATES, which was directed by Reggie Yates and features work from echo HODs Rachel Clark, Francesca Massariol + Diandra Ferriera, and Joy Gharoro-Akpojotor's short film FOR LOVE, with Costume Design by Buki Ebiesuwa. SXSW will also host the episodic premieres of Daina Reid's SHINING GIRLS, shot by echo DoP Bonnie Elliott, and HALO, directed by Otto Bathurst and featuring Production Design by Sophie Becher!
ZHANG + KNIGHT DIRECT NEW ARLO PARKS MUSIC VIDEO 'SOFTLY'
Zhang + Knight direct the music video for Arlo Parks' new single SOFTLY - with Production Design by echo client Oian Arteta. Arlo described the visuals as a 'Wim Wenders/Hopper New York fever dream'. Be sure to check it out if you haven't already!
GLASGOW FILM FEST 2022 LINEUP REVEALED!
The lineup for the 2022 Glasgow Film Festival has been revealed! Great to see it includes Anaïs Volpé's THE BRAVES which was shot by echo DOP Sean Price Williams; Ruth Paxton's A BANQUET with Hair + Makeup Design by echo client Kat Morgan; and TRUE THINGS, directed by Harry Wootliff and featuring Production Design by Andy Drummond. Kat and Andy also both worked on BBC Arts collection of monologues SKINT which will have its world premiere at GFF!

2022 BERLINALE TO HOST WORLD PREMIERES OF THE RISING AND AGAINST THE ICE!
The Berlin International Film Festival has released further details of its 2022 programme! The festival will host the world premieres of Sky series THE RISING (pictured) which features Production Design by echo client Sami Khan and Netflix's AGAINST THE ICE which was cut by echo Editor Morten Højbjerg and directed by Peter Flint. The full programme will be available on February 1st - stay tuned!
ITALIAN STUDIES PREMIERES IN THE US TODAY!
Adam Leon's ITALIAN STUDIES premieres in the U.S this Friday! The film premiered at Tribeca last year and stars Vanessa Kirby. The UK leg of the shoot was designed by echo's production designer Alexandra Toomey. We'll keep you updated for the official U.K release

ECHO BEST OF 2021: TITANE
The results are in and echo's Number 1 TV and Film project of 2021 goes to...
TITANE! The directorial debut for Julia Ducournau was awarded the Palme d'Or at Cannes Film Festival and the People's Choice Award in Toronto. The thriller was fantastically crafted and crewed, and had us all on the edge of our seats throughout - a true cinematic masterpiece!

ECHO BEST OF 2021: ZOLA
Janicza Bravo's ZOLA comes in at a hugely-deserved second place on our Best of 2021 list! Based on A'Ziah 'Zola' King's viral twitter thread and true story, #TheStory, the film took us on a rollercoaster of witty humour mixed with its gritty narrative of sex trafficking in the US. It is worthy of all it’s rave reviews and, we’re sure, soon to be many award nominations and wins in the new year!
ECHO BEST OF 2021: IT'S A SIN
We have reached our top 3! The third spot on our countdown goes to IT'S A SIN! Russell T. Davies' fantastic five-part series was directed by Peter Hoar and cut by echo Editor Sarah Brewerton, who each won the awards for Best Director and Best Editing respectively at this year's RTS Craft + Design awards.
As it hit our TV screens in January, we were all stunned by the series' beautiful depiction of the vibrancy and fun of 1980's London concurrent with the bleak tragedy of the HIV/AIDS crisis and its toll on the LGBTQ+ community. IT'S A SIN was a no brainer for this year’s countdown!
ECHO BEST OF 2021: PETITE MAMAN
Number 4 of our Best of 2021 selection is the award-winning PETITE MAMAN! The beautiful film was written and directed by the brilliant Céline Sciamma, and has received huge critical acclaim as well as screening at the world's top Festivals, including TIFF and Telluride. This moving fairytale of childhood, parenthood + friendship is a strong echo favourite from this year!

ECHO BEST OF 2021: QUO VADIS, AIDA?
The sixth spot in our Top 10 TV + Film of 2021 selection goes to Jasmila Zbanic's QUO VADIS, AIDA?
After its premiere at the Venice Film Festival, the powerful film received nominations at both this years Oscars and BAFTAs. QUO VADIS, AIDA? offers a raw depiction of the events of the Bosnian War and was a must for our Best of 2021 list!
ECHO BEST OF 2021: MINARI
MINARI is Number 7 in our Top 10 TV + Film countdown of 2021!
The film received the Grand Jury Prize and U.S. Dramatic Audience Award at Sundance, and the Golden Globe for Best Motion Picture (Foreign Language).
The moving drama about family and the experience of immigration was written and directed by Lee Isaac Chung and features the brilliant work of echo's DOP Lachlan Milne ASC, ACS, NZCS.
